The LIVE RECORD will be recorded on New Year's Day (1/1/10), and 1/2/10, at the club where we got our start, the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, MA. Tickets are still available, but it's a very small venue, so we urge you to get them now (last minute Christmas gift anyone?) We will be recording a full length album, culled from the performances over these two days. Wouldn't it be great to say you were then when?
You can buy tickets here for the January 1 & 2 shows.

Sarah's Got Soul - New Haven Advocate
Great article by By James Velvet
"They play guitars (Sarah Borges and Lyle Brewer), bass (Binky), and drums (Rob Dulaney), and, as noted, they rock like crazy.
Sarah sings. And that's the key.
Among the many things that make for a good singer, personality is tops. Tone, pitch, phrasing, all the "musical" values come into play, but every one of them is colored by the temperament and emotional makeup of the singer. When it all works out right, it's called soul.
And Sarah's got it."

SBBS "Americana Act of the Year" BMA 2009
December 2, 2009, Boston, MA - Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles took home the award for 'Americana Act of the Year' at last night's 2009 Boston Music Awards.
The Boston Music Awards took place at the spectacular Liberty Hotel in Boston, MA. Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles were up against some tough competition in the Americana category, prevailing over mandolin master Jimmy Ryan and Hayride and local godfather of the roots scene, Dennis Brennan, as well as newcomers Girls, Guns and Glory. Their road-weary persistence, amazing talent and overall hard work brought them to the forefront of a category bursting with seasoned veterans and exceptional musicians.
“This year’s roster of nominees is one of the most talented and diverse groups of musicians the BMAs has honored in its history,” said Chip Rives, Executive Director of The Boston Music Awards, “that reflects just how vibrant the music scene is in the area.
