Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles have been nominated for two 2009 Boston Music Awards: Sarah Borges - Female Vocalist, Sarah Borges & the Broken Singles - Americana Act Of The Year!!
Now in its 22nd year, the BMAs will honor the best of local music in 26 categories. Over 100 artists have been nominated. In the past, Sarah has won twice for Female Vocalist, and Silver City won for Best New Local Album.
“This year’s roster of nominees is one of the most talented and diverse groups of musicians the BMAs has honored in its history,” said Chip Rives, Executive Director of The Boston Music Awards, “that reflects just how vibrant the music scene is in the area.”

Winners will be announced at the 2009 Boston Music Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, December 2 at the Liberty Hotel. The event will be closed to the public, however, a limited number of VIP tickets to the event can be purchased by making a $100 donation to Music Drives Us.
